Output Valves (5) Valves:
6V6G, 6L6, DL96, 220B.
Shown above is another common valve, the 6V6G,
but less often seen from this manufacturer - Ferranti. International
Octal (I.O.) base with 6.3v heater. Height of 116mm and output of
5.5w. |

Time to include a valve envelope more familiar
to American viewers. With the black metal envelope many tubes take
this form in the U.S.A. but the format was not adopted in the U.K.
Above is a 6L6 with I.O. base, and output of 10.8w from RCA. |
Another all-glass valve in the sequence, the
DL96 from Mullard shown above. Uses B7G base with output of just
0.2w. Designed for battery receivers it has a heater voltage of 1.4v
and height of 53mm. |

An unusual and rare valve to end this section
with, the Cossor 220B. This is a double triode output valve from the
very early 1930s, the above being from initial production sporting paper
type label. Uses B7 base and height of 105mm. 2v heater, power
output to follow. |
