   1951  Last of the Baffle table sets

   1952   New battery set operates by mains or battery

   1953 David Ogle designs the A192 (but is remembered for the Bush TR82!)

   1954 New battery/mains portable, other sets use the same old chassis's

1955 VHF arrives in the Murphy range

1956 Spray the cabinet front white and allocate a new model number!

1957 Smallest battery portable yet introduced

  1958   Murphy joins the piano key craze

  1959    The first transistor radio appears
